Abstract: Gianrico Carofiglio e Jacopo Rosatelli in Con i piedi nel fango. Conversazioni su politica e verità affrontano tanti temi, si svelano a volto scoperto affermando, prima di tutto, la necessità del pensiero critico. Perché la politica è necessità e quando si rivela agli occhi dei più come qualcosa di provvidenziale e di essenziale per vivere si può affermare. Ecco quindi la necessità di entrare nel fango, in quella melma creata dalla politica che è spesso sporca e vile e nasconde, nel sottosuolo, le verità nascoste e quelle poche cose pulite che invece varrebbe la pena di far vedere. Carofiglio e Rosatelli si appassionano così in un dialogo che è confronto, che è necessità di immergersi nel fango per aiutare chi c’è già dentro fino al collo ad uscirne un po’ alla volta, tirando prima fuori un braccio, una gamba o tutta la vita intera. Per non essere manipolati, per sottrarsi al volere dei più che ci trascinano verso la corrente, la prima necessità per il cittadino è quella del pensiero critico, di quel pensiero che spinge ad osservare le cose da più angolazioni, scrutandole al di là dell’apparenza. La politica allora deve diventare impegno, laicità verso le cose e verso il mondo, sorriso e non disillusione che farebbe solo il gioco del più forte. Con lo sguardo affranto verso ciò che accade si costruiscono gli stereotipi, le menzogne che fanno gioco ad una politica malsana e incapace che nel fango si nasconde e lo fa grazie ai sogni infranti della gente. Bisogna allora cercare di volgere lo sguardo altrove, recuperando i sogni, guardando la realtà in modo critico, uscendo dalla melma della mediocrità. Lo affermano con forza Carofiglio e Rosatelli in Con i piedi nel fango.
