Abstract: Nel corso delle vacanze estive, Danny passa il tempo con Sandy, una ragazza australiana. Sicuro di averla persa, il ragazzo la ritrova all'inizio dell'anno scolastico poichè, trasferitasi da Sidney, si è a sua volta iscritta alla "Rydell". Mentre Sandy lega con le scapigliate Rizzo, Marty, Feenchy e Jean, Danny se la spassa con gli amici Dooby, Sonny e Putzie Anzi, non volendo perdere la qualifica di "duro", il ragazzo finge di essere indifferente al fascino della ragazza quando se la ritrova accanto. Sandy, allora, civetta con il culturista Tom; e Danny, ingelosito, tenta di iscriversi nei gruppi dei vari sport della scuola. Un altro colpo la ragazza lo riceve nel corso della gara di ballo teletrasmessa, quando l'amico le preferisce l'equivoca Cha-cha, con la quale vince. Ma la situazione lentamente si sistema. Nel corso di una gara automobilistica, nella quale Danny lotta con il campione dei rivali "Scorpion", Sandy tifa per lui. L'anno volge alla fine e nel corso della carnevalata che festeggia i diplomati, Sandy e Danny ballano perfettamente affiatati. (Il Cinematografo)
