Im Jahr 1972 trat das auch als Südtirol-Paket bezeichnete neue Autonomiestatut in Kraft, das die Grundlage für den Minderheitenschutz in Südtirol bildet. Vor 30 Jahren folgte 1992 mit der Streitbeilegung durch Österreich gegenüber Italien die formelle Beendigung des vor der UNO aufgeworfenen Südtirol-Streits.
Die 50 Jahre Zweites Autonomiestatut und die 30 Jahre Streitbeilegung sind Anlass und Gelegenheit zu einer Reihe von Veranstaltungen und Aktionen im Jahr 2022.
